Welcome to the HandiCapable, Inc. Support Group Web Site
We are Nonprofit organization dedicated to helping other with disabilities and their caregivers. We are associated with Purdue University Ambassadress programs ''Breaking New Ground''.
We are members of the Miami County Chamber of Commerce.
Our Mission Statement is : We want to provide the understanding among the disable hat grief is a normal and healthy response to their physical limitations, while also recognizing that each individuals limitations has its own unique hurdles and obstacles to overcome. With the assistance of Purdue University , our hope is to connect caretakers and individuals that have physical limitations with resources in the community that can assist them in achieving their goals, big or small. Hence changing their attitudes from handicap to handi-capable.
Our Vision Statement is : To encourage individuals with disabilities to gain strength, confidence, and independence. To obtain employment , exercise and participate in recreational opportunities they never realized were possible. To provide assistance and referrals for finances, equipment and health needs.
Meetings : Our support group meets at 6pm on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month at the Old Fire House Community Center of Miami Street in Peru Indiana.
